MAYCLINIK is not a medical provider

MAYCLINIK is a health tourism facilitator authorised by the Turkish Ministry of Health (AK-0086). We do not carry out treatments. Treatments are performed by independent, licensed doctors in accredited hospitals we have contracts with, and they are responsible for medical decisions and care.

Our patient coordinators are not doctors and cannot give medical advice. Any medical question is passed on to a doctor.

Talk to a doctor

Before you decide on any treatment, discuss it with a doctor. Tell the treating doctor about your full medical history, your medication, allergies, smoking and previous operations, even if they seem unimportant.

We also recommend that you speak to your own doctor at home before you travel, and that you arrange follow-up care with them after you return.

Every treatment has risks

All surgical and medical procedures carry risks. Your doctor will explain the risks of your specific treatment before you give your consent. General risks include:

• bleeding, bruising and swelling;
• infection and problems with wound healing;
• reactions to anaesthesia or medication;
• blood clots (thrombosis) and pulmonary embolism, a risk that increases with long journeys;
• scarring, asymmetry, changes in sensation or a result that differs from what you expected;
• the need for further treatment or a revision procedure.

Travelling soon after a procedure needs careful planning. Follow your doctor’s advice on when you can fly, and plan enough time in Türkiye for check-ups.

Results vary

Results depend on many individual factors, such as anatomy, skin quality, age, general health, healing and how closely aftercare instructions are followed. Recovery times and results described on this website are typical examples, not predictions for you.

Before and after photos show real patients and are published only with their written consent. Each photo shows the result of one person. It is not a promise or a prediction of your own result.

Medical review of our content

Our medical articles are reviewed by doctors, and each article shows who reviewed it and when. Medical knowledge changes, so an article may not reflect the latest developments at the time you read it.

Nothing on this website guarantees a medical outcome, the suitability of a treatment for you or the availability of a particular doctor. No doctor, hospital or facilitator can guarantee a specific result. The decision about treatment is yours, made together with your doctor.
